2: Lochavich, By Taynuilt, Argyll, Scotland -1 bedroom

miles south of Oban. The cottage offers absolute peace set
in area with superb scenery and views.Lochavich provides absolute
peace and quiet amongst stunning scenery of hills, loch &
forest, yet is only 40 minutes from Oban — "The Gateway to
the Isles". There are many good places to eat locally. Lochavich
is steeped in history with old drove roads and newer forestry
roads providing endless walking, cycling and birdwatching
opportunities. Amongst ancient oakwoods at the east of the
glen the River Avich tumbles and falls through a series of
pools and waterfalls down to Loch Awe. Several of the Great
gardens of Argyll are nearby as are fishing, golf, watersports
and ponytrekking. Oban has ferries to Mull, Iona, Coll, Tiree
and Colonsay. Further afield, boat trips and cruises are available
